Digitalis

Develloped during an Art Residency at l’Espace des possibles in France.

Digitalis Purpurea. First chosen because of its name the plant started to unveil its story. 

Through this research I am breaking down the scientist, rational approach to life in favor of an animistic, mystical one inspired by books such as "The Botanical Mind" or "Puissance du vegetal et Cinema animiste". The project engages as much with new technology as a critical tool, as with esoteric knowledge on the vegetal, a life form on which our perception today tends to change radically to give it more autonomy, intrinsic value and reinject mysteries. In a nutshell it is about recreating an intimate relation with plants and technology not dictated by orthodoxy and an extractive mindset.
